Welcome to OwnerNotify! These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of OwnerNotify’s website, located at ownernotify.com.

By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use OwnerNotify if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

These Terms apply to all users, including individual vehicle owners and business or organisation accounts (strata managers, property managers, and their team members).

1. Terminology & Governing Law

The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions: “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person logged on this website. “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our” and “Us” refers to our Company. This agreement is governed by and subject to the prevailing laws of New South Wales, Australia.

1.1 No Individual Liability

You expressly agree that this contract is solely with the Company. To the maximum extent permitted by law, no individual employee, director, officer, or agent of the Company shall be held personally liable for any claims, damages, or losses arising from the use of our services.

2. Cookies

We employ the use of cookies. By accessing OwnerNotify, you agreed to use cookies in agreement with OwnerNotify’s Privacy Policy.

3. About ownerNotify

ownerNotify is an Australian software-as-a-service platform that provides weatherproof QR stickers and a phone-masking service. When a person scans the QR code on your vehicle, they can contact you by call or SMS through a masked Twilio number — your real phone number is never disclosed to the scanner.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Individual Subscriptions

Individual users activate their QR sticker by subscribing to the ownerNotify masking plan at A$2.99 per month per active tag. Billing is processed monthly in advance through Stripe.

• Your first physical sticker is included free with an active subscription. Additional stickers for extra vehicles on the same account may be ordered through your dashboard.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until that date.
• If your subscription lapses, your masking number may be released and your tag deactivated. Historical call and SMS logs are retained for 12 months.
• Residents in a building that uses ownerNotify through an organisation account may activate their managed tag at no charge under their organisation’s plan.

6. Organisation / Business Accounts

Strata managers, property managers, and similar organisations may subscribe to an ownerNotify organisation plan. Pricing is per property per month:

• Small (1–50 units): A$49.99/property/month
• Medium (51–200 units): A$79.99/property/month
• Large (201+ units): A$109.99/property/month

New organisation accounts receive a 15-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. After the trial period, billing begins automatically.

• Organisation administrators are responsible for ensuring that resident data entered into the platform is accurate and that residents have consented to their information being managed through ownerNotify.
• Tags managed under an organisation account are covered by the organisation’s subscription. If the organisation subscription lapses, managed tags will be deactivated.
• Sticker order requests submitted through the manager dashboard are fulfilled by ownerNotify and billed separately as agreed at time of order.

7. Free Stickers and Physical Orders

Physical stickers are shipped to the address you provide. ownerNotify is not responsible for delivery delays caused by third-party postal or courier services. Stickers are weatherproof and designed for outdoor vehicle use. We do not offer refunds on physical sticker orders once dispatched.

8. User Comments & Content

Parts of this website offer an opportunity for users to post opinions. OwnerNotify does not filter or review comments prior to their presence on the website. To the extent permitted by applicable Australian laws, OwnerNotify shall not be liable for the comments or for any liability or damages caused by their appearance on this website.

9. Search Features & Data Responsibility

Users utilising the vehicle search or communication features are responsible for ensuring that all consent and legal regulations (including Australian privacy standards) are followed by the searching party. OwnerNotify will maintain data security and provide call/identity masking as a technical intermediary only.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ownerNotify to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate any person.
• Send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or illegal content.
• Impersonate another person or vehicle owner.
• Evade law enforcement, court orders, or any legal obligation.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the ownerNotify platform or infrastructure.
• Use the service for any purpose that violates Australian law or the laws of your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, without notice and without refund.

11. Emergency Services

ownerNotify is not an emergency communication service. In any emergency, always call 000 (Australia) or your local emergency number directly. Do not rely on ownerNotify to reach emergency services.

12. Service Availability

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible.

13. License & Intellectual Property

All content, software, designs, and trademarks on the ownerNotify platform — including the “makes connect easy” tagline — are owned by or licensed to ownerNotify and are protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. You must not:

• Republish material from OwnerNotify.
• Sell, rent, or sub-license material from OwnerNotify.
• Reproduce, duplicate, or copy material from OwnerNotify.
• Redistribute content from OwnerNotify.

You retain ownership of any vehicle or contact information you enter into the platform. By using the service, you grant ownerNotify a limited licence to process that information solely to provide the service to you.

14. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

15. Disclaimer

The ownerNotify service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be free from errors, viruses, or interruptions, or that call and SMS routing will be 100% reliable.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian consumer law, ownerNotify is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

• Missed calls or undelivered messages.
• Abusive or harassing contact from scanners.
• Outages or failures of third-party services (Stripe, Twilio, Supabase, Vercel).
• Unauthorised access to your account.
• Any reliance on information displayed through the platform.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid to ownerNotify in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

17. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@ownernotify.com or through your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your tag will be deactivated and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, unless otherwise required by the Australian Consumer Law.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current Terms are always available at ownernotify.com/terms.
